Get pretty with TEEKI

We’ve just caught up with our very close friend Amy Oram and are delighted to hear that her label has been featured on one of Australia’s most popular bridal blogs The Bride’s Diary – we are so proud of her!!

What you see below is the latest photo shoot for her label TEEKI, and WOW ain’t it stunning! She specialises in made-to-measure gowns suitable for formal, bridal or spring carnival events and not only that, she makes beautiful head pieces to match. So sweet!

Getting to know TEEKI:

What is the next step for TEEKI? What should we expect to see for 2011?

Taking TEEKI to the markets! Will be debuting at the markets next summer with a big range of bridal headpieces and racewear floral hair clips. Alongside this, I will be showcasing my made-to measure one of business; allowing my customers to view my portfolio and book in a consultation to have something special made for any occasion. I specialise in bridesmaids dresses for the bride that’s looking for something different that you can’t buy off the rack – something no one else will have; unique to personal style and body shapes, made to fit each client like a glove! The boundaries are limitless, I make anything from super cute jumpsuits to gorgeous bridal gowns.

I’m in the process in developing my website for TEEKI.  So I’m very excited to not only feature my designs and work I do with clients, but to also feature the photoshoots I style – another creative avenue I love to explore.

Who are your favourite designers?

I absolutely adore the Sydney-based label Camilla and Marc. I love their feminine yet quirky take on fashion that is always beautifully finished.

My international favourite is the Parisian fashion house Balmain, with elegant French designer Christophe Decamin at the helm. I love his military inspired line of metal-decorated outerwear, spray-on cargo’s and elegant cocktail dresses.

Style icon you most admire?

Nicole Richie. I love her boho chic and vintage style that she mixes with high-fashion runway pieces. She has come a long way from her party animal days and now being a mother of two, she has found her style and sophisticated grace!

What are you listening to right now?

On repeat in my car is the latest ‘Annual’ by Ministry of Sound… not a bad tune on that double disc!

Favourite colour right now?

Aqua!! It’s close association with water conjures the more emotional qualities of fun, letting go and joy! And it reminds me of the gorgeous beaches around the world I have visited! 🙂

Favourite city?

Prague! It’s like a miniature Paris. It’s so elegant, beautiful and full of history and character. Closely followed by Salzburg who have the most amazing apple strudel! 🙂

You cannot live without?

My Havaianas! I wear them every day… And green tea – something else I can’t go a day without!

** Amy’s website is due to come out later this year (as is ours)… patience people, so while you wait, visit her Facebook page to see more of her beautiful work.
